As pioneers in the field of divorce mediation, the team of Yardenna Hurvitz and Howard Levitt have been active mediators, trainers and teachers of mediation in the greater Los Angeles, California area since 1984. With their vast backgrounds and expertise, they hold the highest credentials and are popular trainers of mediation at many regional colleges and universities. Their offices are located in both Culver City and Westlake Village, which makes it convenient for families in all the Conejo Valley, San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles, California areas.

Howard Levitt, M.A., L.M.F.T., is a Marriage and Family Therapist and a co-founder of both Divorce and Family Mediation Services and Counseling West. He has over 30 years experience as a psychotherapist, 30 years as a deputy probation officer and more than 25 years as a private mediator.
He is an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, has been an elected member of the State Board of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (C.A.M.F.T.) and is the founder and president of the Conejo Valley Mental Health Professionals Association.
- Yardenna Hurvitz
As a trailblazer in the field of Family Law Mediation and Marital Agreements, attorney Yardenna Hurvitz has been helping families since 1978 to resolve conflicts and issues through mediation and consensus building.
Passionately believing in mediation as a non-adversarial alternative for dispute resolution, Yardenna has devoted herself to this field as co-founder of Divorce and Family Mediation Services, participant in the creation of and trainer of the Peer Mediation Program for the Santa Monica School District, co-creator of the Department of Mediation for the Phillips Graduate Institute, mediation trainer and visiting lecturer at numerous institutions including UCLA, Pepperdine University School of Law, USC School of Law, The Wright Institute and the Los Angeles School District.
She is a founding member of Southern California Mediation Associates and an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution. Yardenna is a past Judge Pro Tem and Hearing Officer for the Los Angeles City Police Commission. She is the author of many articles, including a series on “Money Matters in Marriage” as well as a frequent guest on radio and television.
